MNR Fines Fishermen

A group of Minnesota fisherman are in hot water with the Ministry of Natural Resources.

The men had been fishing in Sabaskong Bay of Lake of the Woods last October and were staying in a cabin on Raspberry Island.

MNR conservation officers met up with the men an inspected their combined catch.

The conservation officers found 32 yellow perch, 7 black crappies, and 5 walleye over the legal limits.

As a result all the fish were seized by the MNR and each man was fined $1,250.
