MNR Finished With Stint In United States; Quiet Here At Home

Operations in the western states have come to an end for the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Ontario has completed its deployment to Idaho and Montana after several weeks of work.

The MNR still has some equipment in Alberta, B.C. and Saskatchewan.

Meantime, all is quiet on the forest fire front here at home with only one active blaze.

It’s a lightning caused fire in a conservation reserve on Lake of the Woods and is smouldering in order to renew the ecosystem.

The fire hazard is low in the north and moderate to high in the south sector of the region.
