A stubborn wildfire north of Red Lake is causing problems for Ministry
of Natural Resources fire crews.
Information Officer Debbie McLean says rough terrain is the main hurdle
for crews attempting to control the lightning caused blaze about
10-kilometres east of Deer Lake.
McLean says the 100 hectare fire is not threatning the First Nation community.
12 forest fires were reported in the Northwest District over the
weekend.
