The Ministry of Natural Resources says the forest fire hazard in parts of Northwestern Ontario is edging up.
Information officer Heather Pridham says 3-new fires were reported in the West Fire Region on the weekend.
FireRangers helped extinguish a 1.5-hectare grass fire southeast of Longlac; a private dump fire near Thunder Bay; and a half-hectare grass fire near Ear Falls.
The fire hazard remains low across most of Northwestern Ontario.
Portions of Thunder Bay and Nipigon districts are under a moderate hazard.
