The Ministry of Natural Resources is urging ice anglers
to remove their ice huts from area lakes, inorder to keep
the environment clean and safe.
Spokesperson Carol Crowley says ice shack owners are
responsible for maintaining their huts, and removing them
prior to the spring thaw.

People who abandon their huts or store them on crown
land are in violation of the public lands act.
