MNR Involved In Flying Lantern Debate

The great debate over flying lanterns in northwestern Ontario continues.
The Lake of the Woods District Property Owners Association is working with the Ministry of Natural Resources to ban the sale of the products.
MNR Information Officer Debbie McLean stresses the public is responsible for the flying lanterns.
There’s always a chance that the lanterns can catch fire and cause further damage.
McLean says that banning them won’t be an easy task, adding that the MNR will have to be involved in consultations.
