MNR Preparing for Fire Season

The Ministry of Natural Resources is preparing for what could be a
busy 2006 fire season.
The MNR is currently conducting training, organizing personnel and
obtaining equipment.
Information Officer Debbie McLean says although there’s still some snow
on the ground, the public should be careful when conducting outdoor burning due to dry conditions.
The fire season started on April 1st and ends October 31st.
