MNR Still Concerned About Flooding in Red Lake

The Ministry of Natural Resources says they don’t know what to expect this week with water levels in the Red Lake area.
Officials say most of the docks on Howey Bay are under water and area businesses have turned to sand bags for protection.
The MNR says continued rain could push lake levels up another foot.
Spokesperson Mike Shillemore says Red Lake recorded 460-millimetres of rainfall in May, June and July.
The MNR is closely monitoring the situation and is warning of potential shoreline property damage.
Sandbags are available at the Red Lake Public Works Yard.
