MNR Still Dealing With Forest Fires

Recent warm weather has pushed the fire hazard to moderate to high in northwestern Ontario.

The Ministry of Natural Resources has been dealing with two new forest fires this week, both in the Dryden district.

One is being held at 1.5-hectares about 30-kilometres southwest of Vermilion Bay.

The other fire is under control at 0.2 hectares and is located near Crabclaw Lake.

The official end to the forest fire season is October 31st.
