The Ministry of Natural Resources is taking a closer look at 61 lakes across the region this summer.
They’ll be examing lakes in Dryden, Sioux Lookout, Kenora, Red Lake, Thunder Bay and Fort Frances.
Information gathered through the surveys will be used to make decisions on setting fishing seasons, and size limits for anglers.
Netting begins in the northwest on June 10.
