The Ministry of Natural Resources is reminding local anglers to check ice conditions before heading onto the lake to fish.
Recent warm weather has caused melting and although its getting colder it’s always a good idea to routinely check ice thickness.
At least 20 centimeters or eight inches of clear blue ice is required for snowmobiles and 30 centimeters or 12 inches or more is needed for most light vehicles.
