Still no word on the future of the spring bear hunt in the north.
Natural recources minister Jerry Ouellette was in Thunder Bay Monday making official announcements on a number of projects announced over the last several weeks such as the Walleye counting program near Atikokan.
The Minister says he will wait for the report from a committie looking into the hunt before any final decision is made.
Fort Frances Mayor Glenn Witherspoon is a member of the group, he has already said he favours a resumption of the hunt.
