Those in the Red Lake and Ear Falls area who are struggling with COVID-19 isolation or any other hardship can still access services during the pandemic.
The Mobile Crisis Response Unit is operating with a 24/7 toll-free crisis line. (1-866-888-8988)
If the problem isn’t addressed over the phone, face-to-face crisis support is available throughout the week and weekend.
-Monday to Thursday. 6:00pm until 2:00am
-Friday at 6:00pm to Sunday at midnight
The program is a joint effort between Community Counselling and Addictions and OPP in Red Lake and Ear Falls.
The Response Team consists of a crisis worker and a provincial police officer and they will assist with the following:
-Meet the person in crisis where they are or a location convenient to them
-Conduct on-site clinical assessment
-Attempt to stabilize and defuse the crisis
-Assist in removing the individual from serious harm to themselves or others
-Provide crisis counselling
