MOH Reflecting On 5 Years Of Work

The retiring medical officer of health for the Northwestern Health Unit is pleased with some of the changes implemented in his 5-years at the helm.
Dr. Jim Arthurs is stepping down at the end of March.
He says one of the things he’s most proud of is erasing some of the boundaries between the various programs they offer.
Arthurs says he’s seen a better integration of their services.
Arthurs notes people who come in for programs such as Healthy Babies, or immunizations, can also get information about improving their eating habits, exercise and hygiene tips.
A replacement for Arthurs is expected to be named in the next month or so.
