Kenora and Thunder Bay will benefit from a $154-million plan
to reduce wait times for cancer and cataract surgeries, hip and knee
replacements and M-R-I exams.
Thunder Bay-Superior North MPP Michael Gravelle says the money will
open up more spaces for area residents.
The Province is giving the Lakehead $1.6-million and Kenora
$35,000 for cataract procedures.
Gravelle says the money should allow for 93-more cancer surgeries and
1,600 more M-R-I operating hours.
