The McGuinty Government has invested $6.8-million in combating
guns and gangs across the Province.
The Kenora Police Service is receivng $170,000 to start
up an Anti-Violence Intervention program.
The program originated in Toronto to crack down on guns, gangs and
violence and is now being expanded to 15-Ontario communities.
The cash will also be earmarked for the develeopment of a province-wide
meth response team that will work alongside the OPP.
