The lawyer for Bruce and Donna Montague has launched a passionate defense of his clients.
Doug Christie began presenting his final arguments in Kenora Court this morning.
Christie described the Montague’s a law-abiding citizans
who were well-respected in their community.
He says its preposterous to suggest the firearms that were legally acquired by Montague were ever dangerously stored.
He says many were kept in a locked secure storage room, and the house was always locked when they were not home.
Christie also described Canada’s firearms laws as so diabolical and convoluted that ordinary citizans have trouble following them.
