Montague Firearm Case Will Resume Friday

A Bail Hearing began today in Dryden for Bruce Montague on 8 firearm related charges laid last weekend by the OPP.
Justice of Peace Pat Clydesdale Cornel imposed a publication ban on proceedings at the opening of Montague’s Bail Hearing meaning that all evidence presented can not be reported at this time.
Montague faces 2 charges each of unlawful possession of unlicensed firearms, 2 of careless storage of firearms, failure to use reasonable care of explosives, possession of explosives without a lawful excuse, possession of a firearm for the purpose of trafficking and tampering with a firearm serial number.
The hearing will continue Friday morning in Kenora, which is the next available date on the Court docket.
Montague will remain in custody at least until that time.
