A decision has yet to be made on who will be allowed to
testify as expert witnesses in The Constitutional
Challenge of Canada’s Firearms Act. As Sheri Leviski
reports the Defence and Crown will continue to square off
on the matter in Kenora Court today.

Dryden Gunsmith Bruce Montague faces 53 charges under
the Firearms Act, and is challenging the constitutionality
of them.
Tuesday afternoon was spent discussing previous
testimony in an attempt to prove whether or not the
Defense’s witnesses are reliable.
The Crown argued Proffessor Gary Mausler is not
qualified to be an expert witness.
Court will resume at 10 today, with the Crown resuming
examination of Mausler’s previous testimony and written
work on the gun registry.
The rest of the morning has been set aside for both
sides to discuss the second possible witness, David
Tomlinson the President of the National Firearms
Association.
For CKDR News, I’m Sheri Leviski.
