Monteith under investigation by the OCT

The former Director of Education with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is under investigation by the Ontario College of Teachers.

Sean Monteith left to become the Director at the Hastings-Prince Edward School Board.

He has a hearing for professional misconduct in relation to using a school board credit card for personal purposes.

The allegations are that he used the card for hotel and accommodations and other travel expenses for himself and others, including flights.

He’s also accused of making false or misleading statements in regards to those expenses.

Monteith left the school board in March of 2021 to become an senior vice-president with Loyalist College in Belleville.

He’s currently on leave from that job until 2024.
