NorOnt Resources is getting a sharp rebuke over the way its handling First Nations consultation for its proposed Ring of Fire mining development.
Marten Falls, Webequie and Neskantaga First Nations say there has not been meaningful discussions and engagement on the proposed Eagle’s Nest development.
They say in order for the project to proceed, 4 demands must be met including respecting individual First Nation protocols.
The scolding follows a meeting between the three community leaders, the province and NorOnt.
