The provincial government is being blamed for 200 lay-offs in the forest sector in northern Ontario. A lumber mill in Horneypayne issued the lay-offs notices last month. PC Critic John Yakabuski says it’s because the provincial government won’t give the company a license to sell electricity from it’s co-generation plant. Energy Minister Bob Chiarelli says the company was asking too much for it’s electricity, but they are still hoping to come to some sort of an agreement.
