More Frustration Regarding Highway 502

Dryden Councillor Mary Trist is asking for local political action over winter road maintenance on Highway 502.
Iron Range Bus Lines continues to not travel the road due to dangerous conditions and Trist says she’s also afraid to take the road.
Trist says it’s time for local municipalities to speak up about the state of the highway.
She says Highway 502 is deemed a “secondary” highway and the company maintaining the road is probably meeting the standards.
Trist stresses the Province should change the classification.
Trist is asking Mayor Craig Nuttall to raise the issue at next month’s Good Roads Conference and is calling on the Minister of Transportation to travel the road.
Councillor Brian Collins believes the Mayor should send a letter to the Minister about the concerns.
