Changes are being made to our province’s school curriculum.
It will now include more information on the contributions, histories and culture of Indigenous people.
The new teachings have been developed with Indigenous partners and focuses on the history of residential schools and treaties.
The most recent curriculum revisions support mandatory learning on the impact of colonialism and the rights and responsibilities we have to understand our shared history.
