More Job Losses

Big changes comming for Alex Wilson Coldstream Limited in Dryden.
As of august 30th, 13 full time positions will be cut along with 5 part
time ones & an additional 10 fulltime jobs will be reduced to part time status.
The company is also closing the placemat, dental tray & children’s activity book divisions, citing high paper costs, & a strong canadian dollar as major reasons.
AWCL will also stop printing the Dryden Observer contracting that out now but will retain ownership of the publication.
As for where the printing will be done, General Manager Margaret Paquette would only say “Northwestern Ontario”
