The second round of meetings on changes to the region’s electoral ridings is starting in the region.
Residents in Kenora will have their say Tuesday night about the suggestion to shrink the riding of Kenora-Rainy River to just Dryden, Fort Frances, Kenora and Rainy River.
The northern portion of the current riding, including Ear Falls, Red Lake and Sioux Lookout along with Marten Falls, would be renamed Kiiwetinong.
A report, put together after previous meetings, also proposes making the city of Timmins its own riding, while the rest of Timmins-James Bay and Weenusk First Nation would be called Mushkegowuk.
The consultations are being carried out by the Far North Electoral Boundaries Commission.
