More MNR Support For Western Canada

There are now 584 personnel from the Ministry of Natural Resources on assignment in western Canada.
344-firefighters are in B.C., with the rest dispatched to Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
The MNR is also providing 400-power pumps, 2,000 lengths of hose and 2-value protection units to B.C.
The forest fire hazard here at home ranges from low in the southern part of the region to high in the north.
Strong winds in the forecast may push the hazard to extreme.
