The OPP’s policing model for the City of Kenora will be
brought before the Ontario Civilian Commission on Police
Services.
An O-COPS hearing will be held in the coming months
Police Costing Chair Dave McCann says the commission
won’t look at the cost of the OPP bid, but they will
examine the proposed 42.5 officer compliment.

Kenora City Council’s final vote on the policing issue
was 4-3 in favour of the OPP, many residents were hoping
the KPS would come out the lone force.

spoke at the final meeting on Friday.
