The Kenora District Campowners Association is working on educating
American visitors on Canada’s border entry rules.
Tourism groups want border officials to better communicate
enforcement rules dealing with old driving under the influence records.
President Harald Lohn says last year 12 visitors never made it to his
Ear Falls camp due to old dui’s.
Lohn says so far, none of his visitors have been turned away at the
Fort Frances border crossing, but notes he’s still hearing complaints.
American visitors with 5 to 10 year-old dui’s can be deemed
rehabilitated if they apply to the Canadian consulate.
