More Reaction To Treaty Three Moves

The Public Service Alliance of Canada is looking into legal action against the Treaty 3 Police Service.
Union spokesperson Judith Monteith-Farrell says changes to employment conditions and layoffs were made without consultation and go against a signed contract.
She says they had no options to but to look at legal action.
The changes affect officers salaries, parental leave benefits, and include the laying off of 7 officers.
However, Chief of Police Operations Terry Armstrong says the force was forced to take these actions, due to a lack of provinical and federal funding.
Armstrong adds they are looking to streamline services to reduce their deficit and are working to reduce the crime severity index which is the highest in the province.
