The Ministry of Natural Resources continues to lend outside help.
Two CL-415 waterbombers and a birddog aircraft have been dispatched to the Northwest Territories.
The MNR still has 53-personnel stationed in Alberta.
Smoke from fires in those areas may drift into the region over the next few days.
There was only one confirmed fire Thursday in the Kenora district.
Meantime, the forest fire hazard is moderate in most of northwestern Ontario with 17 active fires, most in the remote north and all are being monitored.
