More Support for Atikokan Plant

The Power Workers Union has launched a massive media campaign urging
the Province to keep its coal fired plants running.
President Don MacKinnon says the use of stations like Atikokan’s will
help Ontario avoid an electricity shortage.
MacKinnon says removing coal plants and switching to gas is too
expensive and leaves Ontarians vulnerable in terms of pricing and supply.
He says the installation of cleaner technology at some plants has
significantly reduced emissions the past 20 years.
