More Work on Earl Avenue Planned

There is still some work needed on Earl Avenue between Queen and King
Streets.
Director of Engineering Brad Johns says they have received the
go-ahead to take $25,000 from the Cities Revitalization Budget to lay a
base course of asphalt.
Johns says the curb and gutter do not match up with the existing asphalt which has caused safety concerns.
He says the move will eliminate duplication, save money in the long run and also cause fewer headaches for business owners in the area.
The work is expected to be start sometime in the next 2 weeks. Meanwhile, construction of the washroom facility at Earls Court is
expected to start this week, while the Granite sign area should be ready in
the next 2 weeks.
