Property assessment notices for 2013 are now being mailed to residents in the Kenora and Rainy River Districts.
The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation says values have increased in Sioux Lookout by 2.5%, Red Lake by almost 8%, Ear Falls by almost 2%, Pickle Lake by over 2% and Kenora 6.5%.
However, the values have decreased in Dryden by over 2%, in Ignace by almost 5% and in Machin by 4%.
MPAC also finds that waterfront properties are seeing an increase in value.
MPAC says an increase in assessment does not exactly mean an increase in property taxes.
