Ministry of Natural Resources firefighters are taking advantage of
some cooler and wet weather to get more fires out and give some staff a
much needed break
54-active forest fires continue to burn across the Region after 22-new
starts over the weekend.
The MNR has been able to extinguish a number of fires, with more
expected out in the coming days.
The fire hazard has been dropped to low to moderate however the MNR will continue
to conduct aerial monitoring for new blazes.
