Some cautious optimism from Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty about the future of Resolute Forest Products in Fort Frances.
Rafferty and MPP Sarah Campbell met with company president Richard Garneau last week in Toronto for nearly 3 hours.
Rafferty says Garneau spoke about investments its making in northwestern Ontario and how its looking at new products for its mill in Fort Frances.
Rafferty adds that Garneau denies rumours of an offer from Boise to purchase the mill.
