MP Hopes To Get Fed’s Attention For Via Rail

Thunder Bay-Superior North Independent MP Bruce Hyer is releasing a report on restoring Via Rail service to the North Shore area.
Hyer commissioned the 90 page report and is hoping to get the Federal government’s attention.
He says majority of developed countries in the world are investing in passenger rail, with the exception of Canada.
Hyer adds Canada is going in the opposite direction and pretty much eliminating it.
Hyer feels Via Rail service is feasible in the Northwest, and is environmentally friendly.
