The province is being asked for a better plan to deal with nuisance deer.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Sarah Campbell says while there’s been a lot a recent talk about bears, municipalities are having more trouble dealing with deer.
Campbell says while some municipalities have taken action to deal with deer, it should be the responsibility of the Ministry of Natural Resources.
The NDP member says the animals pose a safety risk to motorists and the public.
Campbell notes nuisance deer also have the potential of drawing in predators such as wolves.
