MPP Says Liberals Are Delaying Rainy River Project

The MPP for Kenora-Rainy River is asking why the Liberals are delaying the development of the Rainy River gold project.
Sarah Campbell addressed the issue in the legislature on Wednesday, saying the Liberals have delayed the approval of the terms of reference.
In response, Minister of Northern Development and Mines Michael Gravelle says the province remains committed to the mining and forestry sector in northwestern Ontario.
Campbell notes that Gravelle failed to mention the Rainy River Project specifically.
In regards to the future of the mining industry, Campbell says that this project alone would result in the investment of $700-million and create 500 permanent full time jobs.
