According to northern politicians, diabetics in Canada will not lose out on a $1,500 Federal disability tax credit.
Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP Don Rusnak and Thunder Bay-Superior North MP Patty Hajdu says the Canada Revenue Agency hasn’t made any changes to obtaining the credit.
Hajdu says there has been no change to the eligibility criteria.
Rusnak and Hajdu say concerns from the Diabetes Research Foundation are worrisome, and they’re being addressed.
Rusnak says there’s been plenty of misinformation spread by the opposition parties.
