MTO Says Transfield Meeting Requirements

The Ministry of Transportation says the contractor assigned to snow plowing our major highways is doing a fairly good job keeping the roads clear, considering the weather conditions faced.
There have been numerous complaints on social media and on the street about the state of our major highways this winter.
Wayne Prystanski, MTO’s operations manager for the northwest region, says the Ministry is so far satisfied with Transfield Services.
Prystanski says the Ministry has identified a few issues which have been addressed with the company.
He notes Transfield will be penalized for those issues.
Transfield took over road maintenance in our area last summer.
