After almost ten years, the Ministry of Transportation is starting over again with its route-planning for the twinning of the Trans-Canada Highway west of Kenora.
The first section being reviewed is 6.5 kilometres between the Manitoba boundary and the road to Shoal Lake #39.
In addition to planning, preliminary design and an environmental assessment are being carried out.
The MTO says the studies will help determine a preferred option for a four-laned divided highway.
A public information session is being held in Kenora on November 20th at the Clarion Lakeside Inn from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
