Mud Bowl Near Pickle Lake

The early thaw has shut down a key transportation link to several remote First Nations north of Pickle Lake.
The Ministry of Transportation says the northern terminus of the North Road is impassable.
A 300-meter section of low swampy terrain about 230 kilometers north of Pickle Lake is described as a mud bowl.
Crews brought in a road grader, but it sank in the mud.
