Dryden police have been keeping busy.
A 31-year-old man is in custody following a Dryden Police investigation. Police say Justin Desautels has been charged with two sexual offences, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, obstructing police, possession for the purpose of trafficking and unauthorized possession of ammunition. He’s already appeared in bail court and is due back in front of a judge on June 5th.
Also in Dryden, An unwanted person now has a home in a Dryden jail cell. City Police were called to a North Dryden home and two people were arrested for trespassing. Police say 49-year-old Herbert Smith remains in custody for breaching the conditions of a release order.
Meanwhile, a Dryden man arrested for causing a disturbance didn’t go down quietly. Police were originally called to the Colonization Avenue area to deal with the individual. Police transported Jonathan Land to the detachment where he proceeded to assault a jail guard and utter threats to the guard. Land also has been charged with breaching the conditions of his probation order.
