Tragedy in Pikangikum.
Provincial Police say a number of people have died and several others are unaccounted for in a house fire.
Emergency personnel were called to a home on Dunsford Road just before midnight Tuesday.
OPP, the Forensic Identification Unit and the Office of the Fire Marshall are on scene and investigating.
There are reports that nine people died in the blaze, but OPP have yet to release an official statement.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Sarah Campbell has tweeted “My thoughts are with the community members of Pikangikum as they mourn the loss of family and community members”.
