Municipal Election Recount In Ignace

Lee Kennard will know in one more day if he will officially return as Mayor of Ignace.
A recount of the recent municipal election has been requested and approved by Council.
The call came from current Councillor Kim Baigrie, who came up just short in her bid to unseat Kennard.
The incumbent finished with 359-votes, while Baigrie was right behind with 347.
The recount will come Thursday morning at 9 o’clock at the Library.
