Municipal levy hike for RR District social service

Communities across the Rainy River District will be paying more for social services in 2005.

The district social services administration board has approved a municipal levy hike of 10.38 percent.

Contract negotiations with paramedics are now underway and given wage hikes in other parts of Ontario, Fortier adds the province will have to help pick up the tab.
