Murder Charge Laid In Death Of 72-Year-Old

Provincial Police say a second degree murder charge has been laid in connection to the death of a 72-year-old Shoal Lake #39 First Nation resident.

A post-mortem exam was conducted on Betty Ann Cupp last week.

The cause of death was not released, but police say her death was suspicious.

This past Friday, 27-year-old Jordan Oustan, who is from Shoal Lake #39, was arrested in Kenora and was remanded into custody.

The OPP say they are continuing their investigation.
