Murder Charges Laid In Altercation

A 21-year-old Kasabonika Lake woman is due in court in Kenora on Friday to face second degree murder charges.
Clarissa Anderson is accused in the death of a 20-year-old woman on the remote northern First Nation.
Police say Courtney Mamakeesic died following an altercation at a Kasabonika Lake residence.
A post-mortem exam was conducted Tuesday at Lake of the Woods District Hospital, but the cause of death is not being released.
