Murder victim’s parents want inquest

The parents of a man killed on a Kenora street more than 5 years ago are
calling for an inquest.
Margaret & Isaac Kakegamic met this week with the chief coroner in
Thunder Bay.
The family has also retained the services of lawyer Kimberley Murray,
the director of Aboriginal Legal Services in Toronto, to assist them with
their case.
Max Kakegamic was found dead on October 4th of 2000.
A Kenora court decided not to proceed with a manslaughter case
against Justin Carambetsos in 2004 after the judge found evidence of
misconduct by kenora cops in their investigation.
